The Power of the Pause: Reflections from the Fearless Women’s Summit in Minneapolis
Fearless Women’s Summit Minneapolis
On August 9, I had the honor of speaking at the Fearless Women’s Summit, where I shared my signature talk, The Power of the Pause: Your Inner Compass is Waiting.
Standing on that stage, I witnessed something powerful happen: when people gave themselves permission to pause, they opened the door to clarity, courage, and a deeper connection to themselves.
The pause is not about stopping. It is about returning. Returning to who you are beneath the urgency, the expectations, and the constant push to achieve. When you return to yourself, you discover a direction that no external success can provide.

What I Carried with Me
While my talk focused on the gift of pausing, I also carried a personal insight with me this month. Fear has been showing up in my own journey in subtle ways. Not as a loud barrier, but as a whisper: What if you fail? What if you are not ready? What if you are not enough?
Through my own pause, I began to see fear differently. It is not always a stop sign. Often, it is a signpost pointing us toward growth. Fear shows up the loudest right before a breakthrough. The very thing we fear may be the doorway to what matters most.
Moving Forward with Clarity and Courage
The Summit was a reminder of how important it is to create moments of pause, not just for audiences, but for myself as well. Pausing clears the noise. It reconnects us to presence. It gives us the courage to step forward with intention.
Both pause and fear are teachers. One helps us return to ourselves. The other pushes us into growth. Together, they shape how we show up as leaders, as professionals, and as human beings.
An Invitation
If your organization is planning events this fall or winter, and you are looking for a speaker who can inspire your audience to slow down, reconnect, and lead with clarity, presence, and purpose, I would love to connect.
